Different Kinds of Freshwater Angelfishes (1)

The origin of the angelfish is the Amazon River in South America. They are moderate in temper, love to stay at a place in water and do not require high-quality water. They have a colorful and beautiful appearance, so they are loved by many people. Before buying angelfishes, you need to know different kinds of them.
 
Three kinds of wild angelfishes.

1.Angelfish
Scientific name: Pterophyllum scalare
English name: Angelfish
It is native to the Amazon River and the waters of Peru and Ecuador. The pterophyllum in its scientific name has the meaning of "feather-like softness", while scalare describes its body pattern as a stepped shape. The male genitalia is pointed while the female genitalia is round. Aquatic plants such as coldest reniflrmis can be planted around the aquarium. Rocks and driftwoods can be placed properly in a fish tank while leaving some space for them to swim. This kind of fish is open-type spawning, the water temperature is better to be 26 to 28 °C, the female fish will produce eggs on the surface of
aquatic plants, about 1000 eggs can be produced by an angelfish at a time. It can be fed with a variety of live baits, lettuce, spinach, freeze-dried bait and flake feed. The maximum body length of it is up to 15cm.

 
 
2.Long-nosed Angelfish
Scientific name: Pterophyllum dumerilii
English name: Long-nosed Angelfish
It is also native to the Amazon Basin in South America. The headline is relatively round and extends to the mouth. Because the tail is longer, it is less popular in the market. Its living habit is similar to pterophyllum scalare.

 
 
3.Altum Angelfish
Scientific name: Pterophyllum Altum
English name: Altum angelfish
It is native to the middle reaches and tributaries of the Orinoco River in South America. The upper part of its eyes is sunken, the end of the mouth is prominent, the body surface is silvery-white, and three wide black bands on the body are arranged in parallel. There is no obvious sexual character except for the breeding season, and the female fish usually has a thicker body shape during the breeding season. It is a kind of fish that has a mild temper and field-conscious fish. Weak acid soft water with a hardness of 1 to 5°dGH and pH 5.8 to 6.0 is suitable for them during the breeding season. You can use
